Vincci Liberdade Lisbon: Hotel Rooms? Does size always matter?

The hotel Vincci Liberdade is a pleasant four star hotel right in the heart of Lisbon. What struck me is how small the rooms actually were. But does that really matter? When you find yourself in such a beautiful city as Lisbon you are hardly going to be in the room much anyway. In actual fact this hotel, despite having a contemporary twist, is full of character and is a perfect base for exploring the city. New York is a City where hotel rooms can be very compact but you hardly ever spend much time in the hotel. You simply don’t need the space when all you are doing is putting your head down for the night.

That said, it all depends on the City. Bangkok for instance, one of our favourite Cities, must have a pool and ideally located on the Chao Phraya River as the City is so hot and frantic that you need those extra facilities to get away from the hustle and bustle to chill.

Just having somewhere to sleep doesn’t mean that luxuries doesn’t matter to us. They do and the Vincci Liberdade, despite it’s compact features, offers a very comfortable stay in nice surroundings, and a room that has everything you need including a beautiful bathroom.
